i just turned on my ddm4000 and it seems to be broken. the LEDs are flashing constantly and it’s not working..
found this video with the exact same problem, but no solution..
do i need to get a new mixer or is it reparable somehow..
it’s too old. so no warranty left.. is there a way to fix it on my own (i know how to handle a soldering iron)
how does it break without doing anything?
I hate to say it but that just comes with the territory of buying a $300 4 channel digital mixer. Sounds like you got some good use out of it but this type of stuff is disposable DJ gear.
it is pretty old and i bought it 2nd hand.. i actually just used it to plug in multiple sources at once (e.g. computer, ipad and vci400) never really used it to mix..
If it was analog there might be a better shot at fixing it but I would just trash the DDM- odds of fixing it are slim and any chance you could would not be worth the money. We have no way of knowing what’s wrong with it and it probably won’t be something simple.
