Denon Dn-x1600 Ant thoughts?

Denon Dn-x1600 Any thoughts?

Hi, I’m gonna be in Chicago for a fews days and I have the chance to get a nice mixer/controller without having to pay for shipping to my country.
The Denon DN-x1600 seems like a good choice, for the price I can get something that will work with Traktor or maybe, if I learn, with Cdjs or Turntables.
Not going to be able to stay up until Traktor’s S4 is out so it’s not a choice.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

I haven’t used one, but I’ve lusted after that DNX-1600 for some time. I still think the S4 will be my weapon of choice though.

the x1600 is traktor scratch compatible too

The DN-X1600 definitely seems tasty. I’m thinking about buying one of those myself.

go for the x1700…the next firmware update will be traktor scratch cratification…

As I keep doing some digging there’s also de Nuo 4, it is cheaper and it does’t have effects but it still looks like a something worth trying.

Ecler makes a good product. Can’t go wrong with either one in my opinion.

The current version (the Ecler Nuo 4**.0**) doesn’t have Midi anymore, if that’s of any importance for you. I have been looking into 4-channel-mixers myself lately. So if you could post, what kind of features you need and which you don’t need, I could probably give some more suggestions (at least as far as my reading of reviews and stuff has got me).

Firts of all thanks for the feedback,

what I need is a stand alone mixer that would work with traktor as well as with a cdj or a turntable, I have not yet mixed with any other format than digital but I wanna leave the door open.
Effects could be important but Traktor comes loaded so it’s not a bigt deal.
Four Channels would be great but I can do with a three channel mixer.
I can spend as much as a thousand dollars, cheaper is off course welcomed.

You can still get the Nuo4 (not the 4.0) in some stores that I’ve checked in the city that’s what I want to see.

Thanks guys!

An X1 for $199 makes a good compliment to any external mixer as well. So if you get a mixer for $800 you still have money for an X1 and have opened up a whole slew of possibilities with all the mappings out there for that.
