Denon DNS-3500 Modification

And I’ve used squarespace too. For small projects. And Wordpress. And Expression Engine and we have our own CMS and lots of bespoke sites for clients. I’m cool with Facebook for this, it’s social word of mouth capability is exactly what’s needed for this product. And I can discount my product of you ‘like’ my page. What’s not cool about that!

I never said not to use facebook, quite the opposite, social media can make or break quite a few businesses, I just feel that it should be used in addition to traditional methods. Not as a sole method of reaching your audience. Granted, your target demographic does tend to be more active in the social ‘arena’, but that shouldn’t be your only target. I for one visited your facebook page, and didn’t even know I could buy them. Also note that a couple of posts in this thread also questioned when if or when they would be available. I had no idea you could sell stuff on facebook… I’m sure many other people didn’t know that either…

Don’t get me started on paypal for receiving payments (sending is fine and secure)… I have heard of far too many horror stories due to people using them as a bank… If you take any of my advice, please do not keep any money in your paypal account… They can and have taken peoples money with little to no recourse. They’re not a bank, therefore they are not subject to the same rules and regulations…

Oh, and the name you picked “extra inches”… while quite witty and accurate, may pose some issues with spam filters…

Lol. Necro probably would too

I’m still at prototype stage so the sales process will be far more obvious v soon.

I’m not expecting this to be huge. And I’ll keep an eye on paypal. Thanks. It’s just a cool idea to mod an already cool set of products. I hope dj’s like em.

Do you have a set?

personally, I don’t mind if you’re using facebook as your website but I’d be careful about promoting a product that doesn’t appear to exist yet…

I need some pix dammit!

Fair point, videos are being shot tomorrow. Will post here. Thanks…

:stuck_out_tongue: I can’t count how many times I’ve had to educate people about my nick…
It’s 'mancer, not 'philiac, who in their right mind would name themselves Dj Necrophiliac
There’s a bunch of recordings in the archives over at dvsdjtv.com if you don’t mind my lack of skills (or UK Hardcore for that matter). I am not good by any stretch, more than a couple of trainwrecks, but I don’t care much  I have more audio sets recorded, but nothing that I am willing to put online… One day I do intend on getting something online…

More on topic though, I’d have to agree with a previous reply. In that you shouldn’t focus the platter on the denon, you could see a much greater audience if you could figure out how to make them work with a variety of controllers/cdj’s… Think about the numbers: for the sake of easy math, there are 100,000 dj’s out there… Lets say 2% have denons (2,000), of them 10% may want to mod them (200)… Obviously I pulled these numbers out of thin air, but the point should still be clear

Believe me im not hating, but you used a co.uk and did a redirect to FB, without warning any users that they will be going to FB. Most of use check the forum from work during breaks or lunches. And going to a social network site is prohibited at most jobs so we can be getting in trouble by going to your site. So thanks.

BTW thread has been closed. Why? You are selling products on DJTT and not following our buy/sell rules. And this is viewed as advertising
