Sorry, didnt mean it like that, maybe didnt phrase it properly. Although this has happened once to me like you describe, where you turn up to find that your not needed, what I meant was that when you finish your shift one week, the manager pulls you into his office for a wee conversation and says that they’re going to try something different and you wont be needed back the following week.
