DIY Carry case w/external USB port
Just got done making a box for my VCI-100, decided to put a usb port on the side so all i need to do is plug in the VCI into the box.
Now i just need to mod the box so it opens fully, but thats a job for tomorrow

this is a damn good idea! i have a similar case too, but i just use it for transport because i´m using 2 second laptop stand for my vci…but maybe it´s worth the try to mod the case.

Cool mod, I’ll remember that when I do my flight case for my Xones. It will have to have Three USB ports and I’ll also do a couple RCA outs and AC power jack, plus a headphone jack or two in the front. I just have to get the case custom made or make it myself to fit everything.
where did you get that bolt on USB port? Do they make 2 or 3 port versions?
If you want to put multiple devices in there personally i would build in a decent USB hub into the device.
I dont think they have multiple port ones no, just these single port ones.
Do you plan on just keeping it in that case at all times? I mean it’s a sick idea, it just might seem a little big and bulky after a while, especially in the club – to me at least.
