dj fail of the day
starting this thread to share some and hear some!
my fail today:
recording an überawsome mix. listening to it. realizing that you mixed externally but recorded internally.
edit: forgot to mention that it was me mixing 85 tracks in 50 mins :eek:

dang that sux.
Not pressing record during a live radio show that was mandatory I record. Had to go back and redo it.
that indeed is a fail. you should have seen my face today listening to my mix wondering why i hear the other record skipping, scratching and looping

it’s the last tune and im mixing like a true champion
hand in the air, dancing away like a knob 
listen to monitor speakers and wonder why the sound is soo low
look down to realise the bass is on ‘0’ still

I couldnt hear deck 3 the other night. Was proper confused. All looked to be well.
Spend the next 20 mins double checking every lead, connection and sound preference in traktor.
turns out the channel was set to phono, not line facepalm
On Labor Day I was so drunk I kept dropping the needle on deck 1 and would reach for deck 2 only to find that the needle was off the record of deck 1. I thought I was so drunk that I was bumping the turntable causing the needle to fall off the record. It took 3 more try’s to realise that I had my turntable on reverse.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I did something similar the other day when I was installing my external mixer…confused the shit out of me for a minute.
Im sure we’ve all done a mix and then taken the needle off the wrong deck?
Ive pressed stop on the playing deck on traktor before too. All you can do is put your hands up and laugh at yourself.
Inadvertently load the next track in a playing deck. Thank Technics there’s a protection for that in Traktor now!

Cant believe there was ever a time when that option wasnt available…
I believe it’s still not default on Itch, did that on my roommate’s NS6.. or was it VDJ and Mixdeck..?4
I’ld say doing a kickass mix and forgetting to press record in Traktor is my most common one, followed by the damn EQ knobs on a drop.. after a great transition too.. lol
It took quite some time for CD players to have an eject lock (and still not every model has them today).
So far I’ve done everything mentioned except this!! Really some kind of next level fail there buddy!!!

Not mine but I was there:
Some random douche behind decks and all the sudden: "This is John B Podcast stay tuned for more awesom… music stops then lots of booing. I was later told that the douche was monkeying with just fx on the podcast.
So. much. fail.
