Dj Power Tools

What the fuck is dj power taools?

I’m having the exact same problem. Anybody know a solution?

=-=-=- OK found a solution, on OSX anyway. It is poorly compressed but this can opener will solve the problem and force the file open anyway: The Unarchiver | Top Free Unarchiving Software for macOS

Ah wait, I worked out what it is.

Sounds like DJTT recommended a shitty product. Nicely done lads.

Basically they need to send you a version which isn’t poorly compressed and fucked up.

If i’m not mistaken this is a DJTT product. It’s not a product they just recommend, it is their product.

And on release nothing is perfect. Ever. Not the iPhone’s, and not the Traktor Kontrol S4s. It’s just how it is.

It’s pretty hard to put together a complex piece of hardware without any issues.

It’s pretty fucking easy to compress a load of .wav files, upload it, download it and check it’s not corrupt.

I love DJTT but jesus, this business end and the blog seems to become more and more armature with every passing day. A serious lack of professionalism has been shown in the last few months. Deadlines ignored, promises ignored, previous projects ignored, quality control ignored…

edit: plus the incredible amount of bias on their product reviews.

Bit overkill, but there’s about 60% truth to this statement.

I’m drunk so you should probably take what I say with a pinch of salt :stuck_out_tongue:

I just bought and i got the email all fine, but then i click on download and i get the djtechtools store page with the downloads and at the to it says “An error occurred while getting the requested content. Please contact the store owner.” Then when i click on the download link from there it comes up with the same page .

I have tried internet explorer and firefox but both dont work.

What do I do ??

Complain loudly on the forums and send them plenty of emails. This entire situation is a joke.

Pray. Then call DJTT in the morning whilst screaming profanities.

Whens the morning, sorry im in aus and couldn’t be stuffed working out the time difference because i just woke up.

Do it in the middle of the night, much more effective :stuck_out_tongue:

ill give that a try

I wonder how long it will take for some asshole to put this on thepiratebay and warez-bb

Pssh, Demonoid is where its at. It’ll probably be up for DDL first though. I’d buy it, but I’m just going to go make my own sound packs because I feel like I’m cheating by using premade remix packs.

  1. According to the site to buy these, you can pay $15 for the whole pack, not $50 - just saying…

  2. Of course they need to make a profit to keep DJTT going. I have purchased items from the store before (overlays, cables, firmware kit, etc.) and have been happy with all of them. That being said, a large part of how DJTT has become so big is because of what it used to give out for free, in particular the VCI-100 mapping. In fact, the site has even given songs and sound packs out before for free. The official mappings that have come out lately have all been in support of the Midi fighters - DJTT-only products. It’s still great to have “free mappings,” but these are in support of products sold by DJTT and thus make said products more attractive to purchase, not so much to support the community.

Quite simply, I and many others around here have witnessed a disturbing trend on the site away from the community support idea and toward the commercialization concept. Having been a registered user for a year longer than you, it’s possible you haven’t noticed this trend quite as much. As pointed out, a large amount of blog posts over the past few months at least (S4 as a DVS mixer, this sound pack, and others that I’m not going to bother going through to prove my point) are all straight advertisement. I don’t have a problem with advertisement on the site; I have a problem with advertisement posed as, “the next great idea to help your DJ sets!”

  1. As for paying for my own music - where does that comment even come from? DRM is the reason that I chose the Amazon MP3 store over iTunes (aside from quality) many years ago. Just because I am aware of it and am annoyed by its restrictions on music which I legally purchase does not mean that I pirate, though feel free to sit on your high horse and try to muddle my arguments with that line of thought.

  2. As for “working on it for a very long time” - right. The sounds themselves are okay, but nothing amazing. Aside from that, making them available in several keys is stupidly simple to do with Ableton. I don’t have a problem for these being up for sale - it’s well within the rights of anyone to post something up and hope people will buy it. But let’s be honest about what these are, and groundbreaking they are not.

Anyone who likes the sound packs can and should buy them. I personally don’t think they’re anything special and am simply stating that opinion. But feel free to resort to ad hominem attacks in order to make yourself feel better about your supposed moral superiority. I on the other hand will continue to sit here and critique the direction of DJTT, even though I know, love, and support said site. Productive discourse is the name of the game, not blind loyalty.

Well put my man, well put..

out of stock…lol

how can they be out of stock, they send you a download link that doesn’t fucking work, doesn’t mean that they are out of stock.

Truthfully, this isn’t rocket science. We’re talking download links here. I don’t really understand how djtt could have messed it up…
