So we are opening this up to 8 different people. This should be sick.

Iā€™d say 4 DJs that get to go twice. I makes it simple so we dont have to chase djs for 3months to finish the mix.

Thatā€™s how it was originally so I know what you mean. The opener dj already disappeared. So who is going first? Are we going to give each other a 32 beat outro? That would work for me.

Im swamped with gigs this weekā€¦Iā€™m booked Wed - Sun and im on vacation on monday so Iā€™d say Iā€™ll be 3rd.

I say we try to spine around 8 minutes + lead out. Granted, if we get something thatā€™s 9 or 10 minutes long we can just play with it from there to skim it down from there. So maybe if we shoot for 8 minutes and leave ourselves some leeway. (64 minutes core, might get up to 70 with bleed).

Howā€™s that sound?

I would say the worst part of opening for me is you have to set the standard for the mix. If its too high the rest of the mix seems weak. If itā€™s too low, you sound like shit by comparison.

Iā€™ll start the mix, thatā€™s fine. I should (hopefully) have time tonight to throw something together. Iā€™ll figure something good out to start

Well, foreverhex has now opened the can of worms.

Whatā€™s industrial, buddy? We talking standard club songs (which I can do and keep interesting) or are we talking the overarching music in general? Iā€™ll probably stay away from powernoise cause, well, itā€™s boring to sit at my desk and spin.

Iā€™ll probably do a bit here and there, weā€™ll see. Maybe Iā€™ll start it out with my crazy Kylie Minogue and Skullfuck mashup to get the energy going, huh? What do ya think? :wink:

I figure, as long as youā€™d hear it in a goth/industrial club itā€™ll fit. So that leaves room for VNV Nation, Ministry, Terrorfakt, I:Scintilla, The Azoic, The Cruxshadows, etc. etc. etc.

If we want to restrict it more thatā€™s fine too. Let me know and Iā€™ll work with it.
