Do you have other music skills?

Do you have other music skills?

Do you guys play any instruments/sing/compose? I have very little musical skill outside of DJing, but have always wanted to learn piano.

Guitar/Bass/Drums some keys.

i play drums in a crust/hc band. playaing shows in squad´s and left wing spot´s!
alerta alerta antifascista

keys (DM) and drums (joy divison)

I’ve been singing since I was 11 and playing guitar since 2006. Oh, and I can bang out melodies on keyboard-shaped instruments, but I wouldn’t say I play them. And I can almost keep up with my school’s snare line…but that’s because they suck.

I used to Pound rhythms with my hands on my school desk top…

Drums and an empty 5gallon plastic carboy

not me, actually ive allways considered myself very unskilled musically. however now after some time djing, i managed to get some sense of rythmn, actually. when i was younger i allways wanted to play e-guitar like the cool guys did, however these guys now play in bands no1 knows while i spin at partys  thank god i sucked at guitar!

I play air guitar and can fart half of the William Tell Overture.

I challenge you to dueling bung-holes!

sorry to get OT

I’ve played piano for 23 years, and guitar for 15.

Have you been to the snow ball fight at Connewitz Kreuz yesterday?

But on topic: I did plenty of stuff, even if that was a good number of years ago and therefore any skills I might have had are probably gone. The usual musical education stuff, played the violin from 6 to 16 (or something like that), singing in the choir probably was from 11 to 18 or so, got guitar lessons for about 2 years when I was like 17 (still have my electric guitar here, my violin is laying around at my parents - should probably bring that here at some point in time, just to try out how little I remember), was singing in a band as well (I think that was a tiny bit before the guitar lessons part). But as I said, all of that was years ago (I’m 26 now, so go figure )

yes been there  man that was alot of fun…500 people and a lot of snow…hehe

Man, I envy you. Heard about it today and was like what the fuck, why wasn’t I there? :open_mouth:

Sounded like new year’s eve at the Kreuz without firework rockets. And new year’s eve is always fun there.

there where rckets and bengalos indeed  and a lot of cops got hit by snowball hehe…but let´s not derail this thread

I’ve always been pretty musical. I started playing Flute in middle school, and made the switch to Tuba in 8th grade when I realized that the flute is not a manly instrument. I was also taking electric bass lessons at the time. Got into districts playing Tuba, but quit band because my teacher was a nazi and expected everyone to go to college and play their instrument (which I had no interest in).

I also learned and then forgot how to play the harmonica well. Well, I can still play a few things but need to spend more time at it.

I can still read music, and before getting into fruity loops, I took a class on Cakewalk Express at a local HS which used MIDI and really started me on this whole “production” bit that I play around with. I sometimes really regret most software choices don’t actually have a firmer ground in musical notation. There is a reason why it bloody exists!

So yeah, I guess I have a bit of a musical background lol. Haven’t really messed with those kind of instruments for awhile now though, it’s gone in lue of the digital fun.

Saxophones, keys, bass, guitar, drum pad(?) I can sight read, and I know all my scales and chords.

Grade 8 drums here…sold my kit to fund VCI

I’m a baritone :B

Straight up bass.
