production wise I know that once you get enough coin the sky is the limit on how much equipment you can buy, but i recently saw a behind the scenes on tv for a video shoot of his and i missed it when he said what he was using for production he said hi mac book and something else, I was in shock and couldnt remember.
how a world class dj/producer made super huge tracks just using his laptop a midi and i cant recall what software
IF THERE IS ANYONE WITH THIS INFO OR WITH A GENERAL IDEA OF WHAT he is using or what major record label producers are using i would appreciate it and also sticker price.
sellout = fame money party sex drugs and rock and roll
but i wanted to know because i dont want to make beats that sound like shht because of a shhty program that lacks depth (sound quality wise)
so why not use him as an example plus he is the one I heard saying he only uses his computer and midi.
and me wanting to do de most with the minimum why not.
p.s. lol @ simon says
Apparently he was pretty good DJ a few years ago (as in performance DJ) but sadly his productions haven’t exactly been top notch.
What actually blows my mind is that his first massively popular single (Love don’t let me go (walking away),which I loved at the time) was actually just a mash up and didn’t have much to do with him at all. Here’s the original track:
and here’s the guetta version:
Even worse, in 2010 he then totally recycled the same idea to make this:
That’s why I have no respect for David Guetta as a producer. Total lack of originality.
No one knew who David Guetta was until every DJ in San Antonio began blaring Sexy Bitch at every birthday, wedding, club, and baby shower. Okay, the baby shower is a stretch, but seriously, everywhere including iTunes. Top 40 music rules this city! You would think that the invention of the internet would open some minds. Kids these days should recognize good DJing and good music! The song is bad enough. Now, I have to hear people, NOT DJs, pretend to mix this crap. Rock on commercial America! Fred Falke’s commercial remixes at least sound decent if not better than the originals. He knows what’s up. So does Burns.
