I have been struggling to re-create this type of effect when re-mapping my APC40 clip-launch pads to act as a sort of extended Midi Fighter. I’m trying to emulate the transpose effect trail that is demonstrated in this video
at 3:24. I do not know how to make a button cause the FX amount to go smoothly from 100% to 0% the way it does in the video. can anyone explain this to me?
i can’t explain it to you, because i don’t know how to map it either. but if i wanted to figure it out for myself, i’d download the instant gratification map, import it into Traktor, and comb through the list of assignments for those buttons/notes.
Is it possible to treat a button as a fader/knob? and then invert it? If so, then that may be your answer. If that doesn’t work out, then I agree with the above response.
I’ve never personally mapped one like this an I havent looked at the mapping to see how they did it. If I was going to try to duplicate though my first attempt would be to set the button to hold and decrease.
You set the button to Decrease, check “auto-repeat”, and set the resolution to Fine or Min in the drop down. Then when you hold the button down it’ll just tick the slider down until you release it.
