Electrix Tweaker

Electrix Tweaker

so its a new controller for traktor and ableton users, looks kinda promising.

At the heart of Tweaker lies a grid of 32 rubber pads backlit by RGB LEDs, and 8 velocity sensitive drum pads. There is a channel strip on each side of the grid, and a crossfader centered underneath. Each channel trips is comprised of a fader, three backlit rubber pads, an analog knob, and three push encoders with red LED rings. The navigation section at the top of the unit has a large browsing encoder and a four-way selection push grid (left, right, up, down).

Tweaker is fully USB bus powered and also has MIDI In and Out ports.

What do you guys think?

pretty cool, looks a little cheap though. Does RGB led imply that you can basically choose any colour you like with different midi input? Cos if so, that I like.

looked better in the first pic

not really feeling the design a lot of over controllers do this and more
so i guess it depends on what the price point is gonna be

It’s an OEM from Livid

From the oem lisence pdf on livid>About page
"The Tweaker from Electrix is an OEM licensed product designed for Mixware and slated for a 2011
release. This controller features velocity sensitive drum pads, a button grid, channel strips and a
crossfader. Designed from extruded aluminum with the classic Electrix body style.
Livid Instruments fully designed and developed the Tweaker and it licensing the technology for overseas
mass-production.

erm, last pad stuck in the case ? me no likey likey!

I agree; first pic blew me away, the others not so much. Livid makes beautiful products generally though; the advantage here is this looks cheaper than most of them. They have a couple other cool things on the pdf though see http://lividinstruments.com/images/lividinstruments_oem_licensing.pdf – the Blade looks particularly interesting.

pretty much my thoughts exactly

prototype

hey guys, this is a hand made prototype that has quite some miles on it. Don’t worry the ‘real’ one will look much better… (and the pads won’t stick)

I played with the prototype of this at NAMM this year, its a ery cool little controller.

baed on the prototype imagine it will be a very solid build quality.
