Emulating DJM echo using Traktor’s FX

Hi all,

I have been searching the web and experimenting but with no luck.

What I’d like to do is to somehow emulate the Pioneer DJM echo (specifically the 3/4 setting) using Traktor Scratch Pro.

I do not own a DJM but love this effect, and rarely use any other kind of FX on Traktor apart from filters so I’m no expert…

Does anyone have any insight on how to achieve this?

wow.. his EQs are all over the place..

i would say advance fx echo + beat slicer to get the post fader chopping sound. I dont have traktor installed but im sure it would work

I was thinking the same thing…half volume on the fader and hi and lows JACKED. Glad im not hearing him play out.

Yeah but T3 Delay UPs your volume way to much, make sure your D/W is 25%~40% only…

You will only feel the volume going up with good speakers, is not so audible in the headphones…

I’m gonna answer my own 2 years old thread, maybe it’ll help someone else.

This is the closest I could get to the DJM Echo 3/4…

Choose Delay on one FX unit. Adjust filter as wanted, set rate as 3/16.
Engage FX on the selected channel.
Turn the Dry/Wet knob to 100% dry.
Turn ON the FX unit.
Bring Dry/Wet to Wet as wanted, adjust feedback rate as wanted. For a simple build up, I’ll turn the FX on the “2” (1 is the kick, 2 is the clap/snare…) then increase Wet ratio and up the feedback rate.
When ready to let go of the delay turn OFF the FX unit and not the FX assign, this will leave what’s remaining of the delay playing until fade.

Closest I can get to a simple “DJM” style echo.

I know the latest answer is long time ago…but i not really satisfied with the solutions :disappointed:

In the latest VLOG from Mr. Belt & Wezol they used the Echo Effect 1/2 in the Build up with a Highpass Filter…

How can i emulate this echo effect in Traktor Scratch Pro???

T3 Delay in Traktor (single FX mode). Be sure to enable the rate button (button 3).
