I’m using a single Genelec 1029a and find it to be more than enough for home use. It will push the air out like a fan and fill the room with no need for sub, it is really scary how much sound it pushes with no distortion. I can’t really imagine two of them on the table as it would be too much sound for the space.
How do you live without stereo … yick ! Got two, no probs = turn them down halfway LOL
If you plan on doing any production you may as well have the tools to do both, I’ll chime in and say KRK Rokit 6’s, plenty of Ooph! unless your dj room is a barn and flat enough for some stupendous production.
DJ’ing at home with crappy speakers and trying to mix correctly is as bad as trying to produce on crappy speakers… you will only ever get a rough idea of how it should sound and never quite how it actually sounds.
Personally I’ve got a pair of Behringer Truth B2031A’s. Absolutely brilliant set of monitors.
The only other ones I’d probably go for are the KRK rokit RP6’s.
