hope you like it. leave comments and suggestions. be honest! no equipment just using traktor software + computer

not too bad dude, just keep an eye on eq levels really but its alright

Rapidevolution3 + a key chart needed… it clashes WAY TOO MUCH

what is that stuff? sorry im new and becoming a DJ now. using traktor

Not hating on a newb but…you’re using just a computer…do you know what beatmatching is? The mix is strraight, you’re levels are off a lil but I know it’s just you messin around so no biggie…just dont think you understand the concept

I know people here aren’t trying to mean, but they are right. Do you see anyone else beatmatching using just their mouse and Traktor?

The only real way to learn is some turntables or Cdjs. Sure, there are controller steps that could accomplish the same concept, but start from the basics first…

This is not a beat match exercise and sounds awful.

Here’s a cool tip to start learning:

i was supposed to use CDJs?

fuck you :stuck_out_tongue: . i love my baby.

lol i learned to beatmatch on traktor and i still do it. hell i dont even need job wheels to do it.

I learned how to beatgrid… beatmatch… PSHHH yeah I can do that. Did it on first try on CDJ800+1000
=.= it’s a nobrainer.

Haha, or jogs on a controller! Sorry, forgot that one! :stuck_out_tongue:

Like I said though, there are multiple ways of doing it on a controller if you go that route. I had several buttons mapped to change the tempo on my old controller just like they eventually did for the earlier mapping for the MF. Worked like a charm!

yeah like who cares if im getting an s4. s4’s are great. and easy to learn beatmatching. i know how to beatmatch i just need to watch my eq’s and get it more synced a little bit. i mean its not a bad first try. and note this is without equipment

In the right hands

Not so much.

Subjective

You sir, are hugely mistaken i´m afraid. Have you met Earl_Panda and his world famous pandaboard yet? Nothing else to say. Case closed :sunglasses:

He raves about it, but at the end of the day, it’s just s tree stump.

Oh absolutely! He is actually one of the reasons I go into Digital Djing!
He, though is using his panda keyboard as a midi controller. No doubt somehow adjusting the tempo with it. The OP is not using a controller however, that is what I was getting at.

Unless the OP is closing his eyes, and tapping the tempo button with his mouse, I’m not seeing it. If he indeed did map his keyboard, I’ll bite, a form of beatmatching…
Using the mouse solely definitely can be done, but not what the mass thinks of when talking about beatmatching. I guess though, it is no different than a keyboard or nudging a jog. I will agree that jog wheels, or TT or even buttons on a controller/keyboard are methods of beatmatching, but the mouse option, which is what I took from his previous posts, is just the beginning of what beatmatching really is.

Nothing wrong with what the OP is doing, just not the best way to learn to beatmatch imo…different strokes for different folks.

thank you guys for all your help. sorry im asking so many questions but im new and becoming a Dj and i dont want to sound bad haha

Just keep practicing. Youtube on the subject of beatmatching is your friend. Ellaskins is a great help to many. He’s fun, and very easy to understand. Also mixingguide.com, while he hasn’t been active in a while, has helped many as well.
