FINAL: PRE maschine post
A while back i had a thread questioning about purchasing the maschine because i wanted to get into producing…many told me to stick to a DAW with just a computer & mouse…
I ended up doing that and making a couple songs but never finished them about 1/2 done with most..now my question is I think its time to move on and get the maschine cause i feel that it would make my production life easier & better
what do you think should i get the maschine

I always see these threads “should I buy this” “is it a good idea”, just because your asking about it tells me you want it. People are going to have mixed opinions about items and your probably going to get mixed opinions. And if you really want it get it, dont like it? Take it back at 415$ who are you trying to convince us or yourself 
the machine is a great piece of kit and you probably won’t be disappointed.
Maschine is great, hands on, allows you to put beats together quickly. The next version will host VSTs too.
What it currently isn’t brilliant for is finishing tunes due to the sequencer. I find myself tracking the channels out into a DAW eventually.
People on here told you not to get a Maschine for production? Maschine is a great production tool, get it.
well they recommended to get it, but they said its not the beginners way into production…so they said first just do everything with keyboard & mouse with your DAW of choice then get the maschine
but just the fact that maschine has 5gb of sounds and it seems user-friendly is selling me right there… I’m probably going to pick one up today

I think I’m getting one as soon as I have the cash. I used to have a MPC2000XL and loved it for making beats, I’m sure Maschine will be a similar type of experience. Software doesn’t really do it for me unless I’m recording live instruments and can just set the levels and go.
I LOVE MY MASCHINE… I’ve had it for a little over a year now… love it and it works great (with the right TSI) with Traktor Pro.
and smart money would keep the software updates for MASCHINE free, seeing as though they sold as a unit…
$415 from GC? WTF? Link me it! I’ll be buying one this weekend as well then!
1st of all i purchased it..installing as we speak 
2nd i called up GC and said want a price match from keenzo.com (keenzo is selling it for 389 EDUCATIONAL) so they send me a quote through email & said we can do it for 415
Oh heck yeah, been watching this thread wondering what people would say. I too have been wondering about getting the Maschine but with a price match like that I’m on board!

Make sure you arent getting the Educational Version. It has unremovable restrictions with the licence.
This is a secret bump message! I really want to know how he is getting it for that price, cause ima snag myself one of those.
Edit: Fuck i’m retarded right now. I’ve been working on a huge (PhD status) research paper for the passed 6 days and have gotten minimal amounts of sleep (close to 7 hours since then). Sorry about this dumb bump.

So many decisions to make, save for a new guitar amp, S4, Maschine or more ink. Someone just choose for me please
