First Controller

Hey guys.

Im now thinking about getting a Controler for extending my opitions. i was djing all the time just only with traktor on the pc and i want not to get something in my hands. im was looking around and found some contollers with i found were pretty nice but i cant decide and also hear some more opinions because i hae nobody who is a dj or else.

first of course the DDJ SBfrom pioneer
second the behringer CMD studio 4a
and last the Gemini gv2

i want to stay at about 200€ maybe you could recommend something different

Numark Mixtrack Pro II. And the Behringers and Geminis are poorly built, you might want to stay away from those.

You might also want to look at the secondhand market. I got a good deal on a secondhand VCI 300 and that thing is a tank. It just needed the jogwheels servicing. I also got free Serato thrown in because it’s an Itch controller and the previous owner never registered it.

the gemini is builded pure from alu so pretty massive but when you say it so.
im from germany an i really dont know anything about second hand here so D:

I was going to reccomend Vestex as well.

All vestax stuff are built like tanks. Cant go wrong.

If you cant afford a Vestex the Numark 4Trak is another tank.

Vestax or maybe Pioneer.

Vestax is out of business now, but their controllers were the best at anything like that price range.

I concur with the others. Vestax VCI-XXX all the way. Versatile, EXCELLENT sound, and top-notch quality. Second option would be Pioneer, if I were in the same place.

I’ve heard good things about Denon, but no actual experience.

got somebody around with a vci 300 with the fx thing. he sells it for 300 € will probably get it when i have the money :smiley:

I have been finding excellent bargains on used stuff. I picked up a Traktor S4 for $100 and a Vestax TR-1 for $149.
