FW 1.4 / left jog wheel problem…
So, i upgraded my firmware today, and all was well, until i actually tried to play with the VCI!
The left jog wheels is no very problematic, when i use it to scrub through a track, it’s as if it’s not picking up that my hand is touching it, it’ll scrub for a little while and then it’ll slowdown to a pitch bend…
any ideas?
sounds like your jog sensitivity dials on the back of the vci got bumped during the upgrade. check the back of the vci, and slowly, carefully turn the left dial with a sharp object (knife, tweezers, etc) while touching and rotating the left jog wheel until you achieve the touch sensitivity that you desire.
Tried that…no good!
It works fine in fader FX mode…so it’s just something in the software for scratching!

Hmm..sounds as you’re having exactly the same problems as other users and I do: Jog wheel maintenance (+LED replacement)
Only that for you the left wheel is the problem, in my case the right one is worse.
Any Firmware/TSI developers who can help?

This really sounds like a mapping issue, but I have no clue what it is. Have you loaded the mapping twice using the big import button restarting Traktor each time? Does the jog act different when you turn scratch on and off? Does it work properly in fader FX mode? Does pitch bend work correctly?
I’ll try loading the mapping a few more times tomorrow, I’ll try answer the questions aswell!

Screw this, i might just revert back to 1.3…
DJTT has been slacking lately with the support.
I had problems with my upgrade to 1.4 but thankfully I was able to fix it.
Have you tried different usb ports, a hard reset on the vci, loading different TSI’s pc/mac version or older versions?

There’s very few people on here that are affiliated with DJTT in any way, I know I’m not, I just do this for fun 
. If you want to contact them directly it’s best to do so through the contact page. But first lets try and figure this out since it seems a few people here are having similar issues. You may have already answered some of these questions, but with the different threads going frankly I’m a little lost on who’s doing what.
What tsi are you using?
Have you loaded the mapping twice using the big import button restarting Traktor each time?
Does the jog act different when you turn scratch on and off?
Does it work properly in fader FX mode?
Does pitch bend work correctly?
What version of Traktor are you using?
Are you on 1.3 or 1.4?
Was your VCI at 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 when you flashed it?
If it was at 1.1 are you positive you updated the firmware?

As a side note my VCI right jog started acting very weird lastnight. Whenever I touched it the right jog the left deck would stop. I could scrub through the right deck, but the left deck acted just like what your describing and at times would just scrub through very fast without me moving the right jog until I took my finger off. I rebooted, unplugged from hub and into computer, tried different songs and none of that worked. In the end I reimported the 3.6.3 tsi twice as described above and it was fixed.
Someone questioned in one of the threads if it was possible that the updated firmware maybe amplified some internal problems inside the VCI. That could be possible so it might be worth opening up the jog wheel assembly and looking around in there to see if there’s something going on in there.

I can’t try a different USB port, as I only have two, and I have my soundcard plugged in to the first one!
What do you mean about a hard reset?
Try swapping what’s plugged into which port. It’s a known issue with some computers not supplying the same amount of power to each port.
But it was running fine on that port all along on fw1.2 and 1.3!

same problem pal.after a bit of time left and right dont respond at all or pitch bend in scratch mode.fader fx works fine though.fw 1.4
worked fine before.my guess is the tsi
Just to clarify it worked in 1.4 and then just quit working? Did it suddenly stop or was there a period of sporadically working?
Also have you tried reloading the tsi? Don’t forget big import button twice restarting traktor each time. 
Yep tried all this, and it’s still the same! 
i haven’t had alot of time to play lately and i cant remember if i loaded the tsi a few times.i had an hour the other day and after reloading the tsi a few times i had no problems.will report back if it happens again.
