I just checked the Traktor 2 manual on P.193 that you can change the “Headroom” setting in the “Level” section of Preferences. But when I go there, all I see is a checkbox for Limiter. There is no Headroom dropdown…
Did they turf that setting? I’m running Traktor 2.10.160
Thanks!
Ok. Thanks for confirming you have it. My install doesn’t have that dropdown, just the checkbox for limiter. Checking the Limiter “On” doesn’t reveal the dropdown either… I’ll install the update and see if it comes back…Does it matter that I’m using the s8? The dropdown was there when I was using my s4…
Headroom has only ever been an option for internal mixing. Perhaps it’s removed when using the s8 to keep levels consistent when swapping to external sources.
What happens if you open Traktor with s8 disconnected?
Nb. when mixing externally headroom is fixed at -3db, when master is at 0db. The Headroom can effectively be increased by turing the master volume down.
