Having problem recording DJM 900 NXS effects in Ableton

i want to know how to record DJM 900 effects in Ableton

Connect DJM “record out” to input of soundcard, open new channel in Ableton and select the input in which you ran the cord to, then record into channel.

are you using the mixer as your soundcard in ableton?

edit/ you can probably open a new midi and drop the external instrument into the channel and have it record in that way.. I never did this so I may very well be wrong but this seems to make sense to me if I were to do it.

If you connect the DJM to your computer with a USB cord and then use the pioneer utility to change the “USB output” of one of your channels to Rec Out you should be able to record everything that goes through the mains including effects.

For me I set my rec out on channels 5/6
