Hawtin’s maschine LED mapping
Hi
Does anyone know how to get the Maschine’s LEDs to ‘snake’ like Richie Hawtin has them in the video below? I only really need the top row to do it. So like pad 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 etc flashing in order. I realise he probably uses the maschine software to do this but is it possible in traktor?
really easy… consider “beat phase monitor” output, and split it in different output…
The midi range of “beat phase monitor” output is something like -0,5 +à,5…
Split it on the four led : -0,4 -0,2 on the first led, -0,2 -0 on the second led, +0 +0,2 on the third led, and +0,2 +0,4 on the fourth led.

But, as I watched the video, Richie uses something far more complex, considering the way the led are blinking…
His LEDs are doing that because he is using the step sequencer in maschine. Not sure if there is any way to map it in traktor.
I think you can do it… LEDs mapping is a PITA, but you can do a loooooot of things if you realy want it.

Problem I have now is the Maschine stops responding in traktor after about 3 minutes! Waste of a day mapping it all!
