help/Guidance please - Traktor effects and remix sets
Hi everyone
new to the forum and would like some help/guidance where I can find some guides on the following please:
1 - Using Traktor effects - I would like to see some guides on how to get the best out of the using the effects witin Traktor. At the moment I only use the beatmatcher effect on its own as a transition effect when I dont wanna mix one track into the other. The genres of music i tend to play are hip hop, rnb, soul and some commercial pop.
2 - remix sets - where can i get a good set of remix transistion sets so that I can trigger samples like a gunshot etc when I want to transistion from 1 track to another.
My set up included 2 x1210’s, a ecler Nuo duo 2 mixer and X1 controller.
One you get familar with Tracktor you may want to invest in the NI F! it allows you total control over the remix decks in Traktor unless you have something compatible. As far as finding effects just do a google search and type in the kind of effect that you’re looking for also do the same for remix sets. Beatport also sells remix sets as does numorous other companies, I would download the free 1.5 GB remix sets and play with that first before you buy anything. Go to Youtube and type in Ean Golden or Remix sets youll find tons of videos showing how to use remix decks and sets.
Ill download those effects they sound great and will probably be more than enough for me.
I have downloaded the Free NI pack and looked into the Transistion pack thats included but couldnt really find anything I wanted to use.
I dont think I could strecth to an F1 at the mo as my X1 is enough for me and I only plan to use the remix decks and samples infrequently. Maybe the more I use them then ill look to upgrade to something else.
