Help: Stiff VCI-100 Jog Wheel

Anyone have any problems with a stiff jog wheel on their VCI-100. I’ve taken the metal plate and acrylic wheel off to visually inspect but found nothing unusual. Is there a safe way to remove this assembly to clean?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Here you go. Same thing happened to me.

I found my optical encoder is not perfectly flat so it rubs on the photo sensor too. The white plastic piece adjustment did eliminate a lot of the friction though!
