help - trying to turn fx on in Traktor 3

Ok I was setting up a MIDI controller for Traktor 3.4. I wanted to link a button to turn the master fx on. I see “effect select” effect knobs 1-6 or so, but no button to turn effects on?

Ok, I don’t get it. Is there really no way to turn them on without using the mouse? That effect select option is useless because if I have the fx on already, my song is going to be messed up as I scroll through various fxI don’t want, to get to the one I do want.

(yes I know about the setting up a knob to only select specific fx), but that’s not what I want to do.

Does anybody have a solution to help me?

i think the midi command you are looking for is effect button 1.

Yeah, effect button 1 is always On, I think.

the way to find it is…

add - master - fx - master effect button one

But, as a quick note, that will only turn on and off the Master Effect channel, not the Deck A or Deck B effects. Make sure you find the effect button 1 commands for them. :slight_smile:
