Help!

Hi guys,

Im currently looking for Dj equipment but have no idea what to buy, i want to make Dubstep/Techno, although I’m happy to throw anything on and give it a try. If you guys could recommend something for me, that would be awesome!

thanks in advance!

It looks like you’re wanting to get into producing, rather than DJing.

Producing = Making music.

DJing = Playing records.

nah, i want to do both, Djing and producing, but anyways, could u recommend some good Dj equipment which isn’t too expensive.
thx

This

Jesus Christ hoodless…

Google…

Traktor 2.5, Kontrol S2 and Kontrol F1

Serato and Ableton (The bridge) +CDJ’s and Ableton controller.

LOL! that is mean :stuck_out_tongue:

wut :disappointed: ? it wasnt even that bad a troll.

someone seen the funny side though :stuck_out_tongue:

lol it’s just cos I’ve seen you do that about 5 times already!

Been more than 5 lol, i just do it to anyone that looks like the only research they have done is type in ‘how to dj dubstep’ into google

:smiley:

Hoodless never gives beginners worth while information… Trolls gonna troll.

Whoa BRO, Hoodless has definitely “paid it forward” on this board. You might want to ease off the peddle considering you’ve only got 31 posts. Search through his over 1000 and you’ll find he’s probably answered this same question 50 times.

all of them involving the smithson-martin emulator :wink:

Alright, I’m gonna re-rail this thread and recommend the OP to download a trial of Ableton. Since you didn’t give a budget for gear you’re looking to spend, I’m assuming it’s low and as such will recommend a Numark Mixtrack Pro. Noodle around with the Ableton trial and see how you like producing, and play with the Mixtrack to get the hang of the fundamentals of DJing.

Also, don’t pirate shit, pay respect to your roots and those who came before. And for the love of God, stay away from Massive

hahaha, thanks guys!

:scream:

<recalls playing with massive, then putting it down and stepping away>

whats wrong with massive? its the sample packs that get overused, there is nothing wrong with the synth…

To be fair, between here and helping out on the chatroom its quite easy to tell between guys that have googled ‘laptop DJing’ or ‘how to make dubstep’, or a 5DollaHolla as a few of us call them, and have found this forum, and those that have done their research and have a couple of queries about gear etc, i even made a thread on here on how to start out digital DJing, but its faaar outdated so i dont link people to it anymore. you can search it if you like, ‘new to digital DJing? look here’

I would wager my saturday night bar spot, which i LOVE to bits that ‘SpykerX’ has realised hes not gona get an immediate answer and wont bother coming back
