Hey everyone ,

Hey people the names Brian I’m 16 and interested in djing and filming, I would love to get some equpment but I have no idea what to buy. I’m on a pretty low budget. Can people give me ideas o. What to buy? I hve 2 Dell laptops and a key board! I would also like to know what software to get. So please help!(: Brian

First of all, you need to think about what your budget is. That makes a huge difference. Also, don’t feel you have to get the best gear out there. You are better suffering with cheaper gear while you learn the principles of mixing.

I would suggest you think about getting the basics like CDJs and a simple two channel mixer.

Hello mate, there are literally hundreds of these threads on here now. Have a read of some of them.

Since you have a keyboard, read this:

Try it out, and see if you like DJing. After a month or two you can start investing in some real DJ gear.

I would recommend Traktor for your software and I hear some pretty good stiff about the Hercules RMX. There’s been bunch of announcements on new products that might fit in to your price range as well.
