As my name already gives away, I’m a complete newbie to DJ’ing and after a house party I was at recently, I got a chance to tinker around with a Controller.
I was pretty hooked and went and got myself a Vestax Typhoon.
Here’s the problem though, after reading a few older threads here, I got myself a copy of Traktor Pro (instead of Scratch Pro like I had earlier). However, I can’t get it to work.
The buttons seem to respond to what’s happening on the screen (Play, etc.) but I can’t hear anything . I checked all the levels on the unit and on the PC.
However, I can see some sort of activity on the levels in Windows, I just can’t hear it.
My setup right now is just the Typhoon connected to my laptop running Windows 7. I was hoping to run the sound through the laptop itself instead of a headset or a speaker, would that be possible?.
download asio4all drivers install
go in to traktor settings,audio
change soundcard to asio4all
change output to 0/1 or 0/2 or whatever it gives you
play a track if still now sound chang output to 2/4 or 3/4
probs best posting a screen cap of the settings and sound card drop down box
i dont know much about the typhoon,but there has been many a thread about this controller and its problems
try switching to 2-typhoon dj controller in audio setup press play on a track
if nothing happens keep track playing and go to output and see if u can change it if it gives u a bunch of opitons mess about with them,all so make sure your volumes are up on the typhoon
