High quality USB cable advantages

Ok, I understand the whole having a high quality usb cable to hook into your controller/mixer/hardware.

but where does this end or rather start from.

In my case I will use a powered USB hub, Most hubs are connected with a regular TYPE A to MINI B connection. If this is not gold and without ferrite core. Is this bottle necking anything?

And regarding the HUBS which are powered..are there special high quality ones that are better than others?

Im glad DJTT offers the low cost version of a high quality usb cable.
Ive found the Highest end cables online but cannot afford to buy them… Id rather buy a XONE 4d instead.

Found the link…
Id be willing to bet not one person on this whole forum would be stupid enough to buy one of these.

WTF??? $2800 for a USB cable? There’s no possible way that will improve anything to the factor of nearly $3000.

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read the price…

until usb 3.0 is standard … there is only so much that can be done… the last cable I plan on buying until then will be one of these to hook up to my HUB.

but even then I will try and find it somewhere cheaper. My laptop only has 2 USB ports so I have to use a HUB to connect everything. I just am not sure if this is really going to make a difference. Stuff like my mouse and luxeed keyboard will go in the HUB, but I still have XONE 2D, SL3, MIDI FIGHTER and some other stuff.

–edit found this a much better price

I haven’t had the chance to try anything costing over USD4 so to those who’ve bought and used ‘premium’ USB cables, is there really a difference?

if the package turned up with a pound of trashish and a high class hooker i’d pay that.

You must have been alone for a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG time.

3 United States grand can get you a lot of good stuff. Over in Malaysia, that amount means 2 NEW CDJ900s and a DJM400. Somehow or other, the girls come on their own after that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Im just thinking if you need a usb cable on a spacestation that communicates with the remote arm or something like that… then you have one of these.

The girls pay ME that for my…“company”

Of course you’d be using a 2849$ 3 foot cable to convert your 4.99$ RCA cable audio signal into 1s and 0s then transfered to your monitors or your PA via a 15.99$ XLR or 1/4 Jack cable!

Yeah no kidding.. and a new laptop would probally do more good for handling whatever workload that this cable would theoretically provide…

and USB 3.0 will make this guy producing the cables scratch his head for a while

On a SLIGHTLY more serious note, I’d reckon that those cables would be USB 3.0 compatible.

Oh shit, Dont let the wife read this!!!
