Yo, I got my first gigs by making friends in clubs! Who would have thought that all it comes down to is something as simple as making friends.
No matter how good you are at mixing, unless you can talk to people you might find yourself stuck in your bedroom forever.
Learn to make friends easily. Buy the book about it (Dale Carnegie) if you have to.
Just wanted to share that nugget of experience I have for those of you finding it tough to get gigs..
