Huge Ableton CPU Problems Lately

Hi.

Lately I’ve had huge CPU problems in ableton. Crackling noise, lagg and delay. It started to occur just some days ago. Before these CPU problems everything was just fine, produced songs like I alway do. I didn’t download any new vst or sample pack. I’ve freezed the channels that has the most CPU draining effects/vsts, I use return fx, I have no programs in the background, internet if OFF, bitrate & sample rate is as it should be, I even have a laptop cooler under my laptop. I’ve searched on google for solutions and I tried to solve all CPU draining things, but it’s still the same. But I see there’s people in the ableton forums also have the same problem as me lately. I’m starting to think there’s a windows update or something along these lines that screwed ableton?

Please share if you got the same problem, or if you have any ideas to solve this.

Which version of Live are you using? What soundcard? Are you using the latest drivers? What’s your latency set to?

I’m using ableton live 8 intro, traktor s4’s built in soundcard, my latency is set on 128 (I tried with 256, still no difference).

By drivers you mean ASIO? If you mean ASIO, then I prob got the latest version, yes.
