Huge battle
Anybody interested in a big battle in all genres whatso ever? Hopefully we’ll have about 50 people and we have a big battle with rounds. It’ll take place when the dubstep, hardcore battles and mixtrain are done. We’ll start 1 week with 50 people, then have a vote then the top 20 battle, have a vote, top ten battle, have a vote then top 3 battle with one big winner? Who’s interested. Lets start planning this baby!!!

i can tell cross genre battles will end in people voting for what music they like more.
also, you need to find away to have a lot more people vote. and this will be limited based on what kinds of music are in the specific round
The theme of the first round is going to be dubstep. Competitors are going to have to do a dubstep mix that’s 15-20 minutes long. The deadline will be Jan. 9th 2010. That’s when i need all the mixes post messaged to me.
I will make a poll open on youtube, facebook and Djtt.
Polling will be open from Jan. 11th to Jan 18th of 2010
The winners of the first round (top 10) will be announced on Feb 20th of 2010.
Then those top ten go on and do their second mix, Drum and bass. (15-20 min long)
The DnB mix will be due Jan 29th of 2010.
Polling will be open from Jan 31st to Feb. 5th
Top 2 winners will be announced.
After that the top 2 winners will compete in a house mix (up to 30 min)
House mix must be submitted to me by Feb 12th
On Feb 13th the final vote will begin.
Voting will end on Feb. 19th 2010
The final champion of the battle will be announced on Feb 20th 2010.
Also whoever wants to help running the battle reply asap.

Hmm so the hardcore battle mix is due on the 9th as well… and I’m spinning at a kegger on the 7th… and I’m sick and will have readings to do for my courses (classes start tomorrow). Think it’ll be ok if I just enter a portion of my mix from the kegger since I’ll be playing mostly dubstep? If not I’ll just throw something random together.

Haha thanks man, I’m trying lol. I’m not much of a house DJ (I play some electro now and then) so it’ll be interesting if I make it to the final round.
Gotta say though, battles like this are a great test and practice of one’s versatility as a DJ.

Hmm, maybe we should delay the start of this battle so that we can get more people involved… (8 in the first round, 4 in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd and then a crazy final round for first?)
Yeah i think that would be a good idea. But 4 rounds for eight people is too much. So i think 8 in the first 4 in the second and 2 in the final. So hang on to you’re mixes untill i get 8 mixes. Then i’ll make up some schedule. Sounds cool? 
Post to mix cloud or soundcloud and pm it to me. I don’t want copyiers. Btw if two mixes are exactly alike the first one to send me the mix gets in and the second one is disqualified. I want original work, Got it?
