Hwo to get DJM to send midi clock to traktor
Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to do this for a while now and I actually sat down and figured it out.
Very easy.
- Download midiyolk or midipatchbay
- I used midipatchbay, so I created a new patch in channel three and named a midi output djm900clocksend.
- Go into traktor preferences and click the midi clock tab and deselect the send clock box.
- Open up the Midi clock on the main GUI on the top left, select EXT.
- On top right of DJM press the middle button that says “start/stop” once. It should say “start” on the screen
- Hold down tap and rotate the time knob to set the XXX.0 of the bpm
- important after you choose a bpm, say 128, you keep holding tap down and hold auto tap and then you can select the 0.1-0.9 range of the bpm.
- Traktor should pick up the input and be accurate to +/- 0.05 which means that if you set 128.5 it will go between 128.45 to 128.55 on traktors display.
This may need to be moved, but this is where I usually post.
