I can’t fall asleep. Whats up?
Can’t sleep. Don’t know what to do. How’s life? How are the kids? How is school? Talk to meh

I’m a diagnosed insomniac. God, it sucks. I can’t count the number of times I’ve gone to school/work after being up for 30-something hours.
I’m kind of there now, though part of it was drinking too much red bull. I love the taste and though this coding project would take longer than it did. Fortunately, it’s giving me time to try out a soft synth that I actually like so far. Would prefer it to be hardware, of course, but…damn.
I’m not diagnosed but it comes around a few times a month. Spent a couple hours dabbling with hypnotizing bass in fl. Been working at that for a while now.
Completely straying from that, here’s something interesting I came across:

I guess I’ll try to do some homework or something now ![]()
Here’s a free album that utilizes that tuning in a couple tracks. See if you can pick em out without looking at the liner notes.
That RA stuff is pretty interesting…
Yeah, I have had a bout of insomnia. Its no joke man.
Working messed up hours has destroyed hopes for a return to a normal circadian rhythm. There’s only so much stuff you can look up on the internet either, and it sucks when the forum is dead because normal people are asleep. The worst part is sleeping is one of my favorite things in the world to do. Is this true for all insomniacs?
The key is to take one less tab than you normally do. Drug jokes aside, if you can’t sleep, and are bored, take up world of warcraft. You will forget all about time lol
I can’t get no sleep
And yeah, I thought the same. Did you try using the audio converter?
A few times a month is not Insomnia. It just means you occasionally have trouble sleeping.
I’m never tired until I’ve been up for 20+ hours…sometimes closer to 35 or 40…which means that 2-3 days a week, I go to work with <3 hours of sleep and at least once every 2 weeks just don’t sleep to try and “reset”. It doesn’t work nearly as well as it did 10 years ago.
It’s really sad, but my Doctor won’t give me any more Ambien because it made me trip a couple times. Staying up all night tripping really sucks. But at least I remembered it (instead of doing weird shit and not making memories). But when I didn’t trip, I slept.
Oh yeah, and Ambien trips suck. Really vidid falling sensations…like, off of specific buildings in midtown. Also…ever died in a dream? I have. I mean, it was a hallucination, not a dream…but I died in it. Apparently that’s not supposed to happen.
Whatever…I honestly think the trade-off is worth it.
Most of it, yes. But I hate sleep. I hate falling asleep. I hate waking up. I hate lucid dreaming and the realization that you could be doing something.
Frankly, I hate forums too for the same reason…but there are times (work, class, etc.) when I just can’t do things I actually want to do and this is close enough. If I disappear for like a day or two, assume I was getting something done.
If I could live on a 28-hour day(
I’d take a 50% pay cut off my projected salary and quit school now if someone showed me a job that would let me keep that schedule.
That sucks man. I have a friend that has gone on an ambien trip before and he said it wasn’t rather entertaining. My old roommate had pretty bad insomnia but he never took anything for it. He was a pretty crazy fellow, I must say.
Yeah. This REALLY sucks. I’m at my girlfriend’s house. She’s fast asleep. What am I doing? Reading forums on my phone.
I wish I had the energy to make some dope ass beats when this happens.
Definitely. That’s how I always get: “I’m up, I should be doing something productive.”
