I just got a vci-300 for DIRT cheap!!

Sorry i just had to rant!!
Someone walked into my store just now with a VCI-300, the dude didnt know what it was and it had no cables/software, so I offered him R600 (the thing retails at R10 995) and I got it!!!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!
the one jog-wheel is a little screechy, but other than that it looks/feels perfect!

I was in the right place at the right time i guess

can’t wait to get home! woop woop!

woo! deals are great!

make sure you say thank-you and ask for some more.

congrats…

it probably fell off a truck..

I have no idea how much money that is or if it is a good deal

Rupies? Rials? Rocks? or is that an obscure car model?

R? Rupees? Rupiah? what currency is it? just curious

could also be south african rand..

600 rand is about US$77, that’s a hell of a deal!

Its Rands…

Thats like $80…

Holly shit Dash!

Bring it to my house!!! Would dig to see it!

Got some green knobs if you like!

Um…I don;t think it was a normal person looking to purchase gear. More like looking to get rid of it.

Maybe it was ā€˜hot’.

If the guy had no idea…I doubt he would be back.

The shop Glitch works at…is one of the only shop fronts in Cape Town area that have the good shit. Digital DJing controllers and the works.

Other stores can ORDER it for you etc…and are more band orientated.

just dont end up like this:

That’s a steal. I love my VCI-300, that shit is party in a book bag. Itch 2.0 kicks as too.

Hows he going to figure out what it was if he didn’t know in the first place?

WOW Serato ITCH is the BUSINESS!!!  but i can’t find myself paying so much for a controller for FX, and the Sampler is a bit useless if i have to mash my keypad everytime, I managed to get my LPD8 up in the mix using bome’s, but i dont like the sampler as much as in TP2. so i think im gna play around with sum traktor mappings to see if I can get my TP2 to react like my ITCH does with some FX

there are some amazing mappings for the VCI in traktor, dont think ive had a day where i dont regret selling mine especially now i have my midifighter :disappointed:

haha im def keen to bring it round for a spin sumtime!

I dunno if im being a knob here, but it doesn’t seem like these knobs come off, besides they have an amazingly nice rubbery feel i wudn’t trade for anything

If he sold it not knowing the price i doubt he would go home and check after he sold it

Good deal i wish i could get something like that

generally if you wanted to sell something, you’d check online first what it was and what it was worth… definitely not sell it then go home and look!

nice pickup!

They come off. Just gotta pull on them a bit. Only thing that sucks about them is the red stripe can not be seen in a dark booth. I put a silver paint marker to them and it helped tons.

there’s also some cool hidden ā€œeaster eggsā€ in Serato Itch.

As far as mappings go. I tried for a LONG time. You can get some decent mappings, but you’ll need more knobs for traktor. The only thing that sucks is the jogs are horrible in Traktor.

With itch it’s all seamless. Midi mapping for the sampler is on the way, and I expect the effects engine to look alot more like SSL’s very soon as seeing Serato Intro is the same as SSL just less effects.
