I need advice with track transitions during a mix

Sup everyone?

So let’s get facts straight, I’m a beginner and I am trying to record my mixes.
The problem I’m having is that when I record my mix every track volume is equal except during a transition the volume is a lot higher. Maybe this info will be useless, maybe not, but I don’t put the input at the max volume, should I? Will it fix the problem? Is it even a problem? Or my mix technique sucks?
Here are some screenshots I took, too understand my explanation better.

Need to work the EQ better, that’s all, most likely have the bass/kick overlapping on the tracks while in the middle of our mix.

Words of wizdom : keep the volume down.

Eq eq eq

don’t worry about what the wavform looks like. make sure the track levels are even before you mix in a second track, then use the eq to balance the overall sound as required. bumps like in your pic are quite normal in a mix, you can always level things out post mix.
