im confused
so im confused one of my friends dj’s but he runs 1 deck at a time going into the next song before the other finishes and my other friend mixes two songs at the same time yet he blasts through so many songs and i just wanna clear this up is my friend whos going through one song at a time really djing?
Yes. A DJ is someone who selects and plays recorded music for an audience. Accordingly, both your friends ‘qualify’.
imo… I think djing is basically playing music for a crowd.

If he is playing 2 songs at the same time I would think thats doing live mashups?
This, even if they’re not mixing anything and just pressing play in itunes as long as they’re doing it for other people then they qualify.
