So I got my Mixtrack, and my DJ IO, but trying to figure out how to wire it up with rca cables is confusing me. Do I need to buy new speakers? If I want my speakers to play the music, and my headphones to cue up another song, what do I need to do? I have looked at multiple forum posts but can’t find my answer. The speakers I have only have a white RCA cable going from my left speaker to main speaker, and then the little pointy in the picture. When I plug the green thing into my DJ IO it doesn’t sound right and if I choose the DJ IO as ASIO in virtual dj my headphones go to #%$#.
to plug your speakers to your dj/io
plug your headphones into the other channel
in the dj program go select the dj/io in the settings, then select channel 1 (or whatever you plugged your speakers to) for master.
select channel 2 (or whatever your cans are connected to) and set to cue.
If I wanted to go with a new setup would something like this work? And if so what cables would I need to buy, and i’ll buy them all when I purchase this
as i use that to connect my rca cables to the speakers
if it comes with a single headphone jack, then you can use any of the 2 options i stated in the earlier post. option 1, plug your speakers directly into an 1/4" converter and plug that into the dj/io. or option 2, where you get rca cable to headphone adapter along with the female to female converter, so you can use the rca cables that the dj/io came with.
