In need of a new DJ-controller

Hi,

I’ve been playing a lot with Ableton controlled by a APC20 and a BCR2000, but I’ve recently realized that it’s not the best setup for DJing. So now I’m interested in a “regular DJ-controller”. I’ve look at the Novation Twitch as I’m still interested in controllerism.

Any tips/alternatives?

Novation Twitch seems to be a perfect fit. A lot of people love it. The price is nice and now you will get a free update (from Serato ITCH) to the new Serato DJ software in November.

Upgrades to the Twitch for use with serato DJ will be in the Spring of 2013, not November.

Is there really any alternatives to the Twitch?

Free update, yes. There are loads of other controllers out there, none quite as portable as the Twitch though, with a built in soundcard and no jogwheels.

But those are more expensive? I’d love to hear some examples!

Do you want to augment your APC 20 and BCR2000, or do you want a completely different controller for DJ’ing and keep the APC and BCR just for Ableton use? That will affect what would work best for you.
