Insta live DJ Setup problem

Hi,

I’m trying to DJ a live set/video on instagram live, i have a RCA cable going out my DJM900 ‘rec out’ into a TRRS - headphones adapter - But when i record it records super loud and distorted.

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong here?

Fixed - if anyone else is having a similar problem, try putting the RCA’s into the Master out 2, then use the master out knob on the mixer to turn it to the right volume. (i use booth out for my speakers)

You could also buy a small electronic attenuator.
