Instant delay - how?

Instant delay - how?

Hi!

I’ve searched the forum but has not found anything about how to do this.. I guess it is there somewhere but…

How do I map a button so instantly choose (in single effect mode) an effect, switch it ON, give it a dry/wet value and a effect value, with ONE button. I’ve tried so many different mappings now, but I can’t get it to work!

I guess it’s quite easy, but I need help =)

/ O

is the button changing the effect being used?

if not;
map the dry/wet and parameters to the button using direct mode, and map the ‘on’ as toggle but with invert checked.
press in > set effect up, release > effect on

Oh, okey!

Is it not possible to make this a “hold button” for the effect.. So the efffect is just on and active when holding button down. And OFF on release.

Make the button type “hold”

that will conflict with invert command…

Why does it need to be inverted?

Problem with a button is if your fx slot is not on delay you will have to press it twice. One to load correct effect and one to activate. If you use a knob or fader it will send the msg long enough for it to happen in one motion instead of two.

In this video listed in this forum under mapping tips and tricks which is stickied, I show my premapped delays and how to map them. I am using faders for these. It is my post & the 4th video down.

Hope this helps :slight_smile:

no idea, think was thinking about selecting the effect to. in which case invert would be needed so the effcet turns on after selecting, as select and on can’t be done simultaneously.
