Even the audiophiles can’t tell in clubs. Either you’ve already ruined your hearing enough so you can’t tell or you’re wearing earplugs. If the latter, you probably didn’t spend enough to get earplugs that don’t roll off highs enough that you probably don’t hear distortion anyway. That isn’t an excuse for a DJ to have no idea what they’re doing, but I have literally never seen a working DJ not clipping a mixer. Not once.
I mean they feel like garbage compared to a lot of other mixers.

I don’t like all-in-ones, but if I were getting any kind of payment for house parties and the like doing all of my own sound with any regularity, nothing would stop me from getting a VCI-300 unless the DDJ-S1 winds up a lot cheaper than I think it’s going to be.
