Is it just me…
or are a lot of people selling VCIs atm. Since DJTT hasn’t updated it and really hasnt released a lot of new information on remapping the VCI everyone is selling them. I find this sad to see because it really is a fun controller. Well thats my two cents.

There is an S4s! What does it have that the S4 doesn’t? Where do I get one? Can I put stickers on it and call it my buddy? Please Dad - so I can, please, please, please!

still got my VCI-100 w/ it upgraded fully, knobs, overlay, 1.4…etc. and I’m not sure I’ll be getting rid of it any time soon unless my setup changes, but that probably won’t happen..haha happy with my vci, midi fighter, audio 2 dj, and traktor!
I think the big difference between the 2 is 4 deck mixing.
They should do a VCI with 4 deck section instead of 2 decks.

I think your looking at it the wrong way. People who are selling are letting new users who dont have the $ to drop to get their foot in the door djing. I was able to get traktor pro 2 and a2dj for 140 and have found vci arcades as low as 310 or so go on ebay. Pretty nice setup for around 450 if u ask me.

thats the reason I got into, had no idea how to get myself into the industry..and dj tech tools helped me out when the time came to invest the money to get started..very reasonable prices for software and controllers really helped my decision to actually step into the industry.
awesome news if it means the price is coming down i’d like to get one sometime just so i have one. i think s4 is too big anyway. vci for 2 decks and a sep controller for sample decks and more effects stuff would be a nice setup still…
All these people rushing to the S4 like it was the lost ark is a joke really.
Why? the VCI is built like a tank and it works well. I’m very comfortable with my setup, I use an external mixer -or should I say I just LOVE my xone92- so I don’t need an S4.
The point is, your gear is like an instrument, you gotta know it inside out, be able to play it with your eyes closed (yes, I can). So why get rid of a good thing? Moodymann still uses his old reel to reel. Why? Cos he knows it and it get the job done.
So if I was in the market, I would consider the S4, but I don’t want to chuck all those years of experience for something which is in my opinion, not as good.
I just wish DJTT would release an updated overlay or I just might have to design one myself.
