iTunes and Traktor

I search but didn’t find anything.
I usually load tracks into traktor using iTunes..
a lot of times I find later that, for some reason, traktor can no longer find the file, so I delete it(in traktor) I have to go back to itunes to find it, and reload it into traktor.
Now, I always thought it was because I messed with the id tag in itunes and it must have changed the file path..
but then I noticed this happening in songs I’ve never touched after loading into traktor..

another thing..
I always make sure I have my tracks organized before loading them into traktor.. Key(in comments), artists(i hate how they put “feat.” in the artists section), album/year/track#/etc (i make them all blank because I couldnt care less)
BUT sometimes when I load them to traktor I get the “purchased from beatport” tag back in the comments section.. even tho its clearly the key in itunes
sometimes it will randomly change a few days later..
and sometimes itunes will change as well if I click on a songs thats been changed in traktor, but also sometimes it doesn’t

why is it so messed up..
do they both write on the ID tag?
why does it randomly lose the file path?
why aren’t t˙ey consistant in how they interact

reanalyze every song in the traktor library.

Rather than delete and reload, which is what I was doing for a few weeks before trying to find a better solution, I check consistency on my whole library at least once a week, and then just fix the missing songs.

It happens a lot less now for me and I have no duplicates.

is there a quick way to test?
because I usually don’t realize until I find the song I want and go to load it
is there some kind of select all/analyze option?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe I’ll change mine too but give him full credit for the trend setting.

You can right-click on Track Collection and choose Check Consistency.

You can also tell Traktor to run a consistency check each time you start Traktor.
