Just bought a 4000 Watt Speaker AMP
I noticed a 5000 watt is just 40 bucks more.
Is 4000 watts enough; I guess that’s what I should have asked.
(P.S. No I am not DJ Kool Herc)

Enough for what? What are you powering? What’s the ohm rating? Is it 4000 watts stereo or mono bridged?
It can be 4 or 8
Stereo, Paralell Mono, and Mono Bridged
I’ll be probably using 2, 2000 watt speakers and any combination thereof which utilizes all 4000 watts of power. I just want to know if it will given women french ticklers if they stand next to my stereo system.
No sir. The wattage will NOT be the same if it’s bridged compared to stereo. If it’s a stereo amp and not a mono block, what EXACTLY do the specs say for a stereo feed into “?” ohms? I just don’t want you to blow your speakers or amp here.
Actually, what’s the amp model & Speaker model?, please. And will it be stereo or mono?
The very finest speakers the good will has to offer sir!
According to the specs, your amp is 350 watts rms(average) 4 ohms stereo and 250 watts 8 ohms stereo. Since you didn’t list your speakers I can’t tell you which one. Just FYI More speakers are “blown” due to under powering than overpowering.
Am I going to give girls a good thumping with this AMP or should I save up for something better?
700 watts bridged(mono) 8 ohms.
great purchase but what speakers are you using?
Probbably the loudest cheapest speakers I can find at the goodwill.
They usually have massive Pioneer speakers for like 5 bucks on 80% off days.
I’m not going to drop a g note on speakers until I get paid for using them, ye dig?
Well, just make sure if you’re buying a pair that they’re 250 watts(RMS) or more@ 8 ohms, or 350 watts(RMS) or more@ 4 ohms. That’s not peak but average. Please understand that “Stats” are always written in a way to make the product look more impressive than it really is. For instance, you said you bought 4000 watt amp, that may be the case but only into one(mono) 4 ohm speaker when bridged and NOT RMS but peak.
Gotcha.
I’ll read a comprehensive guide to buying amplifiers tonight. Your thumbs up to my purchase has me feeling quite secure.
Thank you SirReal
No need to get snarky. I just don’t want you to A:hook up way to many speakers thinking you have 4000 watts to divide between them or B:Hook up speakers that are way over or underrated for the rating of your amp. That’s how things blow or catch on fire. Other than that, congrats on your purchase and I hope the ladies sitting on the speakers are warm & wet from the vibrations, although that may be more based on your track selection.
