Just got my new midi-fighter

Ok i just got my midi-fighter from turntable lab for the life of my I could of swore…It came with a software disc but it dont..I went on youtube for help and nothing really comes up…How and where do i get the software I just saw an upgrade that’s it…Not the original one HELPPP if I get no ansers im just going to return it…Im using serato any help ???

there is no software disc that ships with the MF.
the only software there is for the midifighter is the updater: (OLD) Midifighter Update for Mac and Windows (OLD)

otherwise it’s plug’n’play

ok i did that i downloaded connected the midi and wont read on serato still

Is it the midi fighter pro or the classic? If it’s the pro then DO NOT flash it with the firmware listed above. Here’s the instructions from the link I posted.

We have finally created a solid mapping for the Midi Fighter Classic and Serato Scratch Live. The mapping has ability to control two decks, looping, loop rolls, cue points, and the SP-6 sampler. Please see the attached visual layouts below.

In order to use this mapping, your Midi-Fighter needs to be in “4 Banks Mode”. To put your Midi-Fighter into “4 Banks Mode”, please read the following thread about the Midi-Fighter’s menu mode: How To Use the Midifighter Menu Mode (Classic & Pro only) - Midi Fighters - DJ TechTools Forum

Once you download the mapping (i.e., the xml file) all you need to do to import it is to move the xml file into the “MIDI” subfolder of “Serato”. The “Serato” folder should be located in your “Music” library folder on both Macs and PCs.

If you do not see a “MIDI” folder within “Serato”, you will need to open Serato Scratch live, go into SETUP->MIDI and create a new blank mapping (the default name is usually “user1”). Once you have created the blank mapping, the MIDI folder should then appear with “Serato”.

It should also be noted that I tested this mapping using a Rane TTM-57 and sometimes an SL3 box and it worked for both. When we tried using it on our Rane 68 and some of the controls didn’t seem to work. My theory is that if you plug it into a Serato mixer that shares some of the same controls (like cue points), Serato disables those controls on any other MIDI controller. I don’t know that for sure though.

i saw this video bro and nada the midi folder is there but i dont see the midi classic folder i downloaded the software..installed it plugged midi fighter and nothing sigh guess im going to have to return it back\

also does it hurt hat im using serato version 1.9.1 i have the old version due to the fact that i use video-sl plugin and it dont work with the upgrades so i have to keep 1.9.1. serato version

Did you download the xml file? There is no software to download and install, just that file. Is it the Classic or pro midi fighter? There’s a separate file for each and you need to use the correct one. Just drag it into the midi folder in your music folder like he says in the video.

Then you go into Serato and select the correct mapping.

got frustrated man i dont confusing stuff i thought it came with software disc install plug and Bam!! but nah been messin with this thinng sat night enough is enough!!

again: it is plug and play, no need to install anything besides the mapping for the software you use.

that’s a faster ‘BAM!!’ than installing software
