Just got the X1…now what…

Yo guys.

Just got the X1 and thinking how to combine it with my set up i’m getting together.

I already have my Launchpad and I have mapped it with this mapping;

To sum up the mapping lets me control all the basic things i’ll need; play, cue, looping, syncing, EQ’s, loads etc…plus it has the instant gratification FX settings.

Anyway what do you guys think I should map the X1 too? Maybe use it for just sample decks?

Don’t you think you should have thought of what you wanted it to do before you purchased it?

I have no idea what the rest of your setup is. Could use it as a mixer, advanced FX, anything really. I love my X1, but only really use it when playing internally.

@Gryz, I got it cos NI had a promo on to get Traktor Pro 2 for free if u bought it before the end of September.

Yeah could use it as a mixer actually…

If you are pretty good at mapping, there are countless possibilities. I have mine as a mixer in MIDI mode and then can switch back to HID for FX. I even have an extra knob mapped to the volume faders when I’m not using a real mixer…otherwise I just EQ the fuc* out of my tracks.

I didn’t even managed to get my x1 in midimode with instant grafication mappin, whenever I put mf IG mapping it just deletes everything I have, my mixtrack and x1 will be gone and just 4 midifigther mappings on the list lol, what I do wrong?

Use the big import button for your main mapping and the import button at the top drop down for the others.
