K2 Mapping Shift Layer For Hotcue Leds

K2 Mapping Shift Layer For Hotcue Leds

I have started mapping my K2 but don’t want to use latching layers as I want the different coloured leds on the first layer . I have mapped my basic controllers and have used a modifier for using the hot cues how do I get the cues to have leds on the shift layer like the X1 . At the moment when I press shift and a hotcue the led for the first function still goes out . Thanks Neil

Can you be more specific than this?

Stewe have I now mapped 4 buttons for my hotcues with led output for the state the are in , how do I map the same 4 buttons to be hotcues 5-8 using the shift button and still have led output for there states . Hope this is a bit clearer.

When I mapped it first say hotcue 3 was the same button as sync when I pressed shift and hotcue 3 the led for sync would go out but sync wouldn’t be off .

Stewe is this possible to do ?

It would help if you create a diagram with controls and modifiers so I could have better understanding. It is possible but I have no clue how your modifiers are set currently and which buttons you want to use in each shift state. (transport, cues 1-4, cues 4-8 and cue delete shift)

. I have it set like this at the moment , the 4 hot cues i would like to use them as 5/8 as well , I have a button used as shift 1 at moment but its not doing anything so can be used as a modifier . Hope this helps

here’s a bigger image and rotated

Left shift (HC del) - M1=1/hold
Right shift (5-8) - M2=1/hold
Set HC 1 to 4 - M1=0 ; M2=0
Set HC 5 to 8 - M1=0 ’ M2=1
Delete HC 1 to 4 - M1=1 ; M2=0
Delete HC 5 to 8 - M1=1 ; M2=1

Note: To delete hotcues 5 to 8 you need to hold both shifts at same time.

Hope that helps.

thanks is it possible to when shift is held the led output would show what state 5-8 hot cues are in use. Thanks Neil

Sure just follow the same modifier conditions and use ‘Hotcue type’ output command.

thanks will give this a try and let you no how i get on

That should work if modifiers are set properly. Let me know.
