Kontrol S2 with Kontrol X1 Mapping

Just wondering if you have mapping for this setup or ideas to create a good workstation for sample decks.

You can probably get a mapping for the x1 that covers the sample decks, that would be a great combo

I think they include this faceplate in every X1 now, but i’m not sure. That would probably compliment the S2 really well.

  1. FILTER CONTROL
    The 8 high resolution potentiometers and 8 buttons provide dedicated filter control over the individual Sample Deck slots. As with effect parameters, easily select the slots you want to tweak using the buttons, then turn the filter knobs and add your own individual trademark sound to your performance.

  2. VOLUME CONTROL
    One push encoder per deck is dedicated for controlling the Sample Deck slots’ volume – just turn the knob. All currently selected slots will be affected. Pushing the encoder will reset to full volume. Hold SHIFT to access gain control instead. The FX assign buttons stay intact, meaning that if you use two X1 controllers, you can assign the two effects units independently from one another to the Sample Decks.

  3. LOOP SIZE CONTROL
    This section allows control over the length of your loops. Turn the encoders to change the length - they stay in perfect sync when doing so. Push to reset to the original length. With SHIFT pressed, turning the encoder allows you to pitchbend. The HOTCUE button allows you to enter the Sample Size mode for the Arrangement section below.

  4. ARRANGEMENT
    By default, the 8 buttons on either side can be used to mute or un-mute each individual slot (left row of buttons) or trigger them (right row of buttons). As usual, SHIFT plus a button can be used to stop a slot - or clears it if it’s already stopped. In Sample Size mode (when the Hot Cue button is on), Sample Deck slots can be conveniently switched to half or double length.

i know this thread is a bit old but i just googled it… i have an x1 already and I am thinking about getting either an s2 or s4 … i am thinking about getting an s2 and pairing it with the x1 to control sample decks c and d… DOES THIS WORK???
