Kontrol S4 MKII Traktor License Question
Hi all!
I’ve bought a Kontrol S4 MKII 2 days ago and I want to use DVS using my turntables. I’ve downloaded Traktor 2.7.1 from NI site. Can I use my serial to register Traktor as Scratch Pro in 2.7 or do I have to buy the upgrade separately?

You need to buy the Timecode upgrade kit.
When you buy just enter the serial number that comes with it into Service Centre and that will reactivate your installation and it will unlock the timecode function and you will then have Traktor Scratch Pro.
You MUST backup your Traktor folders before performing this because in the event of it going wrong and you have no backup the DJTechTool Police will come to your house, strip you naked and parade you around your neighbourhood with red balloons tied to your testicles.

Your licence is for Traktor Pro only.. If you want to use the timecode you will need a licence for Traktor Scratch. The software versions are exactly the same you literally just pop the serial in the service centre and it upgrades your Traktor Pro installation.
