Korg KP3 need help/assistance

When ever I use my KP3 it has this default echo effect in there. When I use synth it echos, when I plug in my mic it echos. I’ve read the manual twice and I found nothing, am I retarded? This problem is maddening, can someone please help me?

Is the hold button pressed?

Nope, I use the hold button alot. But right when I turn my KP3 on it has this default sustain/echo effect. I need it to be off so I can load in some drum tracks.
